FAQ for Windows Mobile:

  • The PDA complains about a wrong Compact Framework .net

    Watchee requires that your PDA uses the Compact Framework .net 2.0 (CF 2.0) or higher which is usually the case.
    You can check this by clicking on \Windows\cgacutil.exe using your file explorer on the PDA.

    If your phone has CF 1.x installed you need to upgrade to the newer version 2. This download is free available from the Microsoft homepage, please follow the installation guide lines there.

    One user reported he had to copy manually C:\Programme\Microsoft.NET\SDK\CompactFramework\v2 .0\WindowsCE\wce400\armv4\NETCFv2.wce4.ARMV4 onto the PDA and start it there.

    All your existing CF 1 applications will nicely coexist with newer CF 2 applications.

Windows Mobile Siemens Loox setup example:

  • Download

    Go to http://www.watchee.net/download/Watchee.CAB. The download and afterwards the installation will start automatically.

  • Configure WLAN

    Set a WLAN Connection without using the E2C-Program. Go to Start > Settings > Connections > Connectioncards. Here you can set your wireless network. Now the Loox should always connect with this network when WLAN is activated.

  • Configure an internal GPS-receiver

    Go to Start > Settings > System > GPS. Here you have to click on the hardware tab and check out which COM-Port and which baudrate your internal mouse has. These two settings must be copied into the Watchee settings (Settings > GPS-Device).

  • or optionally an external GPS receiver

    Go to Start > Settings > Connections > Bluetooth and switch on the Bluetooth-device. Now you have to click on the devices tab and follow the instructions to set a new device partnership. After that you have to click on the COM tab and set a "new outgoing port" with your GPS device. These COM-port must be copied into the Watchee settings (Settings > GPS-Device).

  • Configure Login

    Start the Watchee-program and go to Settings > User. Here you have to fill in your login name und your password. Afterwards you have to go back to the Main page und click on connect. (If you haven't got a login name + password go to register)
