The Watchee-Toolkit

Watchee integrates almost all technologies you can imagine with highest compressed, bidirectional and reliable communication connections. This ranges from many operating systems to all popular programming languages. Here is a list of most commonly used platforms which are supported by watchee.

  • J2me - CLDC 1.1 MIDP 2.0
    J2me is the small brother of Java used for mobile devices. For example Nokia, Sony Ericsson or Motorola mobile phones are supported. They may run under operating systems like Symbian OS, S40 or specific firmware. On demand a backport to CLDC 1.0 or MIDP 1.0 is possible.
  • Windows CE
    Any Windows Mobile, Windows PocketPC or Windows Smartphone is supported. The programming language is typically C#. You need the Compact Framework .net 2.0 or higher which, if not already installed, can be downloaded from Microsoft free of charge.
  • Embedded devices
    All embedded systems which support Posix C or C++ are supported out of the box. Tested compilers are Gnu gcc, Intel icc, Visual C++, SunOC CC and HPUX aCC.
  • Server side setup
    On server side and for backend integration all common operating systems like Linux, Windows, Mac OSX, HPUX and Solaris are supported. The developer can choose between Java, C, C++, C# and scripting languages like Javascript, Python or Perl for integration. You may use bi-directional socket communication, Corba, XmlRpc or Ajax as access protocol.
